Patrick has over 20 years’ experience providing advisory services to organisations seeking funding for new ventures, research units undertaking strategic reviews, and government agencies seeking public policy research and analysis. He is a specialist in obtaining funding for new projects in science and technology research and innovation. He provides around 10% of his time pro-bono to not-for-profit organisations. Prior to founding VenturePro, Patrick was previously a Director, Corporate Finance at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
He was a member of QUT’s Research and Innovation Committee and i.lab’s technology incubator Advisory Panel for 9 years. He is a member of the Advance Queensland Business Development Fund Investment Panel.
Patrick has an MBA majoring in entrepreneurship and new venture management from QUT (university medal) and a PhD in biotechnology from UQ. He is member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors

Helga is an experienced researcher with over 12 years’ in academia, in Germany and Australia, specialising in pharmacology and immunology. She has extensive experience with the pre-clinical testing of emerging pharmaceuticals to treat various diseases.
In addition to her research experience, Helga has worked as Scientific Consultant to industry (nutraceutical and biopharmaceutical), providing scientific advice in relation to product development, including pre-clinical testing and research funding, and research commercialisation.
Helga holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) and a PhD in Pharmacology and Biomedical Science from UQ. She is also an Adjunct Research Fellow at AIBN, UQ.

Christine brings expertise as an award winning senior executive with over 25 years’ experience achieving results in international, Commonwealth, state and academic settings. Her background includes ethical leadership of cross-cultural and multi-dimensional teams that operate in complex environments. Christine has assisted organisations with investment logic mapping, budget and project management as well as strategic business planning. Her strengths include conceptualising innovative solutions, implementing change and transformation projects, building organisational capacity and fostering stakeholder relationships. Christine has supported VenturePro with research and report preparation for projects since 2015.
Christine holds a PhD from Australian National University, a Diploma from the Australian College of Journalism, MA Australian National University, B.Lit. (Hon) Deakin University, Certificate of Creative Writing, ACT Institute of TAFE and BA from University of Melbourne.
